On this page I intend to give you info of the most frequently asked questions about my Singer and DJ services. You can learn in detail how I will enhance every part of your event. I sing performing at wedding ceremonies, afternoon receptions and evenings followed into the early hours with my optional disco that’s available.
Yes. I will sing wherever you wish! Religious, interfaith, non denominational, non religious and civil ceremonies.
As musical director I can manage any music to be played using my high quality discreetly placed speakers. Whether it’s traditional, popular or modern music or songs for the pre-ceremony, bridal party entrance, bride’s entrance, signing of the register and recessional, I can add that extra touch that will leave your ceremony a long-lasting memory for you and your guests by providing high quality audio to add the special ambience to the proceedings. Don’t take the risk with low-quality venue speakers!
If you book my “Diamond Package”, I can sing any requested songs (up to a maximum of 3 new to learn that aren’t on my repertoire list). Here’s a few ceremony song requests I have sung in the past:

Yes. It would be a bespoke package, but yes you can hire me for any part of your wedding celebration and have up to 3 songs performed.
Ceremonies have pretty standard formats. 1) Processional – walking down the aisle 2) Signing the register 3) Recessional – exiting . All I ask for is the name of the songs you wish for me to play at the 3 stages of the ceremony. Rest assured that no planning or rehearsing is necessary with me beforehand as I will liaise with the registrars on the day who will cue me when to start the music and fade out.
Of course and I won’t be offended if you don’t won’t me to sing. Many ceremonies I do have non-vocal music played.
When you have made your choices for the ceremony music, please ask me first of all as I probably have a copy. If not, I can always download it, but you can always send me the mp3s by email or a CD by post in advance. I prefer to have mp3 playlists that are organized and backed up on other devices to make absolute sure everything goes without a hitch on the day.
You can make changes to your music (non-sung) and my repertoire choices anytime up to the day before the event. For songs you’ve requested that aren’t on my repertoire I ask for at least one month’s notice to prepare and learn. Unfortunately I can’t take requests for new songs not on my repertoire with less than 4 weeks to go. But if you booked me with less than 4 weeks to go it may still be possible to fulfil your requests, although the use of a song-sheet may be required.
Your Afternoon &/Or Evening Singer
If you hire me for the Daytime Silver, Evening Silver or Gold Packages, you have 90 minutes singing performance. This can be performed as 2 x 45 minute sets, or 3 x 30 minute sets which can be spread out over the entire afternoon or evening , or performed in one block. If you would like me sing more, you can upgrade to 2 hours and add another singing set.
If you wish, you can select the exact songs from “My Repertoire” that you would like me to sing, or maybe you have some favourites you would simply like me to include in my sets. If you have no preference and would like to leave it in my hands, be rest assured that I will deliver a choice of songs that have prooven to be big hits with my audiences over the years.
I generally sing my Swing sets with a few Buble swing numbers and light ballads thrown in. Ideal light background music for the afternoon reception.
The evening can be divided into 2 parts. When the guests are arriving, I can be singing light Buble and Pop Ballad sets. My final evening set will be more upbeat to get the guests up on the dancefloor before the Djing commences. This can also take place before or after the first dance and during the disco. I’m totally flexible.
If your chosen “First Dance” song isn’t on the repertoire list, a request can be made for me to learn and perform it live, but please inform me at least four weeks prior to the event to ensure I have the backing track available and ample time to prepare it. Whatever your requirements, I’m listening…
I will of course make introductions to the cake cutting, first dance and whatever other events you need me to compere on your special day.
I have a choice of top quality smooth, easy-listening, classical and jazz that will fill the room with an ambience and keep the atmosphere alive between my singing sets.
I want your event to be a memory that resides happily in the minds of you and your guests for many years to come, and so I’m prepared to be as flexible as possible to adapt to your needs. Whether you require me to sing at your wedding ceremony, reception, or evening’s entertainment, I can perform a variety of songs that will keep you and your guests entertained and lively ambience maintained in the room.
I use my own discreet PA system and the best quality backing tracks to perform with. Using my top of the range wireless microphone, I am able to walk freely singing amongst your guests and interact if so required. I try to be as flexible as possible in my approach as I allow you to be the director. During my swing sets, it is often a great ice breaker to croon the tables and sing a romantic ballad to one of your guests. Of course, the bride and groom should have the spotlight on them as it is their big day. I’m fully aware of this so I avoid stealing the limelight and dominating the room, but still make sure everyone’s enjoyment is enhanced by my presence. For my final upbeat set, I encourage everyone to get up and dance whilst I sing and strut amongst them – it’s a totally different approach as it has to be energy-filled. Of course, this is your event and you can request I stay inconspicuous in a corner of the room if need be, which, depending on the event, is absolutely fitting. Ample time is given to ensure all sound checks are performed before any guests arrive.
1) Background music can be provided at the cocktail hour or dinner reception to create an ambience. A choice of top quality smooth, easy-listening, classical and jazz is available.
2) The wireless microphone and PA system are available for speeches.
3) A free sample CD of any tracks featured on the music player or the repertoire page can be sent to you so you can listen to them at your own convenience.
Yes. Once you have decided on a package, know that I’m available and have received a quote, you can BOOK ME online by paying a deposit of £100 that guarantees my commitment, attendance and professional services on the date of your event.
As I’m already present at your event with half my equipment set-up for the singing, I can easily offer a full DJ setup as an affordable extra option saving you time and money booking a separate one.
Yes! It’s as complete as any disco you’d pay for! No compromise! I have often been complimented on the crystal clear sound quality despite the speakers looking smaller than giant old school ones. With a DJs library of 100,000 tracks, I have something for everyone from the 60s 70s and 80s right through to the present day. The smart white DJ booth can complement your themed event and the disco lights ( KAM LED Powerbar MK II, American DJ Revo 4, 2 Synced Chauvet Sweepers, Kam Cluster 300 Laser, I will already have people on the dance floor following my singing and will keep them there partying till the early hours. Requests are encouraged !
No, I personally don’t have a strict cut-off time and will keep playing till 1 or 2am. But generally venues do have their own licences and cut-off times which I unfortunately have to abide by or I won’t be allowed to return, so it’s best you check with the venue prior to the event to avoid disappointment.
Of course! I have been known to receive a playlist for the whole night, but more commonly people ask if I can play a short list of requested songs at some time during the night.
Of course! I am always ready to pass my little pen and paper request pad to anyone who really wants their song playing.
Of course! If you have anything you simply loathe and simply don’t want it playing even if your guests request it, please ideally let me know in advance.
I always try to end on a high which involves me getting everybody together in a circle surrounding the bride and groom with me singing e.g. Take That’s “Greatest Day” or ” New York, New York”, or whatever final dance song you have requested. I thank the bride and groom for hiring me and get everybody to give one final applause to congratulate them, then wish them all well and have a safe journey home. I always make sure I acknowledge the end of a long, fantastic day and when you hire me to entertain you, you get entertained right to the end!
